The tranquil garden of rolling lawns, wildflowers, vibrant summer borders and fruit orchard was a source of inspiration for the playwright, politician and philosopher George Bernard Shaw. The garden has been kept much as it looked in his day, and you can follow in his footsteps to the end of the garden to visit his iconic rotating writing hut, where he penned many of his plays.
