Restoration of these historic gardens is ongoing, with three areas returned to full glory – a large walled garden with a pool and unusual curving walls; a secret valley garden with ferns, waterfalls and river; and an upper woodland garden with rocky outcrops and the remains of a 19th-century folly. The many beautiful plants include camellias, bluebells, hydrangeas and topiary.
