April fruit and veg with Monty

Monty mulching beds in spring

It’s easy to get carried away in April, with temperatures heating up and days getting longer, but there’s still a risk of frost overnight, so err on the side of caution when sowing veg outdoors. Others can be started under glass until risk of frost has passed.

In this collection of Gardeners’ World clips, Monty is repotting mint, laying out vegetable beds, and tentatively sowing tender veg towards the end of the month.
